Laura Kahle
In 2005 I began working with drummer Jeff "Tain" Watts as a
music copyist and arranger. Two of my arrangements were premiered by
Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra in Feb 2006. I
have also received arranging commissions from bassist Eric Revis for
the North Texas State University Big Band and studied improvisation
privately with master bassist Henry Grimes. In 2007 I was commissioned by Branford Marsalis to arrange the music of Gil Evans for a series of concerts at Jazz at Lincoln Center, New York City.
I am a published author
of four instructional music books for high school music students,
